Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to your questions about GLP-1s and Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy, powered by CHD.
Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy is dedicated solely to dispensing, packaging, and shipping GLP-1 medications. Given the complexity of these medications, Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy benefits from a staff of pharmacists specially trained in GLP-1s, giving a more focused level of care to patients and helping them get on the right dose long-term, while advising on any potential side effects.
For home delivery, you may previously have received your GLP-1 medications from Express Scripts® Pharmacy, Evernorth’s home delivery pharmacy, but as of June 15, 2025, you’ll be receiving your GLP-1 medications through Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy/CHD. You may also choose to fill at other in-network pharmacies.
GLP (glucagon-like peptide-1) medications are a class of drugs used primarily to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. They work by mimicking a natural hormone called GLP-1, which helps regulate blood sugar levels, appetite, and digestion. Common brand names for GLP-1s include Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, and Zepbound®.
Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy is available to you if you have pharmacy benefits from Express Scripts and other participating pharmacy benefit managers.
Additionally, your plan sponsor must have selected Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy to be in your network. You can check to see if you have Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy in your network by logging in to, or registering, your Express Scripts account.
If Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy is available to you, you’ll be able to order or refill your GLP-1s from your medication dashboard. If you have a new GLP-1 prescription, you’ll need to have your prescription sent to Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy. The fastest way to get your medications is to have your prescriber electronically send your prescription.
You can also go to the “Request an Rx” button on the Dashboard and place your order there.
Please note that a subset of patients taking a GLP-1 for weight loss will need to be enrolled and engaged in a lifestyle modification program before receiving the medication. This requirement is chosen by your employer or health plan. You will be notified if you are in this program and advised what to do when you place your medication order.

Your prescriber’s electronic prescribing systems may update at different times. If your prescriber can’t find the pharmacy, first ensure they are looking for the full name–Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy/CHD. If they still can’t find it, they can fax it to (800) 837-0959. They can also call the Express Scripts Physician Service Center for assistance.
No pharmacy can guarantee supply. Evernorth EnGuide Pharmacy provides consistent access to fills, if supply is available, for both 30- and 90-day amounts. Access to fills is important since many pharmacies are starting to limit fills and/or not dispensing at all, and this is expected to become more common.
A 30-day supply helps you to find the optimal dose that works for you. Your prescriber will generally start on a lower-strength level and then increase that strength level monthly until it works well for you. Additionally, some patients may have adverse side effects that require them to switch brands: having a 30-day supply is best for those situations.
However, once you are stable on a long-term dose, it’s advantageous to request a 90-day supply. Having a 90-day supply allows you to have more immediately available, which can be helpful in the case of ongoing shortages. With the extended payment plan, you can split the amount you pay into three equal payments.

At this time, manufacturer's coupons will be accepted. You will need access to information on your Savings Card for our team to process the coupon. Whether or not the card is applied depends on the terms and conditions set by the card's sponsor – typically the drug manufacturer. If the card is not able to be applied to your prescription order, your prescription will continue to process as usual, and you will be responsible for your standard copay or coinsurance amount.
