Even though almost all US physicians agree that genetic information may play a role in drug therapy, only one in ten physicians report feeling adequately informed about PGx testing. Importantly, they are more than two times more likely to adopt PGx testing, indicating that knowledge is key for translation into clinical practice. The results of this survey may prove helpful in planning and executing initiatives to foster broader adoption of PGx testing.
